My Philosophy
I take a collaborative and goal-oriented approach that balances both acceptance and change. I use evidenced-based therapies and education to help support to you in your goals. I work to build a strong therapeutic relationship and believe that relationship, along with the effort you put into therapy, are the two biggest factors in the effectiveness of therapy.
My general therapy approach is eclectic meaning that I combine a variety of therapy methods and tailor them to your specific needs. I pull methods from ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), IPT (Interpersonal Psychotherapy), Attachment Theory and others. I can also provide these treatments specifically when appropriate.

What Patients Say

"People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, soften the orange a bit on the right-hand corner. I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds."
